Purpose
- TSS support all technical aspects of client's businesses
in the whole potato chain.
- TSS is able to support and handle specific
problems and enquiries in an efficient way based on a broad
base of contacts and experience in the potato industry.
- TSS is in charge of FPD’s new varieties development
program and does trials on a national basis
Business Activities
- Supports the affiliated FPD companies activities on a
scheduled coordinated basis, which entails:
1. Three visits to seed growers to assist, evaluate and
advise growers regarding the preparation, planting and
progress of the crop
2. Ad hoc visits to growers with particular problems or that
need specialized assistance
- Consultation to growers and processing companies
- Management of the FPD Group’s new varieties
development programme
- Development and maintenance of the technical
advice database of the company for easy access to growers
and clients
- Liaison with national and international expert
consultants used by the FPD Group
Business Opportunities
- Practical technical advice and support for individual
seed and or commercial growers on a consultancy basis
- Technical advice and assistance can be negotiated for a
particular season
- Processors can contract TSS to do grower support, supply
technical advice and manage their varieties development
programs
- Export of potato seed to various continental countries
